Stock Preparation and Variability

The paper production is a combination of very complex sub processes and stock preparation is one of the main areas where most of the variability of the final end product is created. Fibers from recycled paper, wood, and cellulose must be treated mechanically and chemically before they are sent to the stock preparation area and in the stock preparation those different fiber and additive streams are combined to one big stream going to the Paper Machine.
